Flavoured condoms add a pleasant taste and scent to protection. They are popular with couples who want something a little more fun, and they are a sensible choice for oral sex, where condoms also help reduce the risk of STIs.

If you like your usual condom but want flavour, pair it with a flavoured lubricant such as Durex Play Very Cherry.
Tips for flavoured condoms
- Check the expiry date and keep them away from heat, just like any condom.
- Use a fresh condom if you switch from oral to vaginal or anal sex.
- If you are prone to irritation, test one first or choose an unflavoured condom.
- Use only water- or silicone-based lubricants.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can flavoured condoms be used for intercourse?
Most flavoured condoms are made from the same latex as regular condoms and can be used for intercourse. Check the pack leaflet, and choose unflavoured if either partner is sensitive.
Which flavoured condom is the most popular?
Strawberry and chocolate are classic favourites. The Aroma Plus Try Me Pack is a good way to try several flavours at once.
Do flavoured condoms protect against pregnancy and STIs?
Yes, when they are used correctly – the flavour does not change the protection.
